The fine knotted carpet, very rare, has all the charm of the ancient Khotan, knotted between 1930 and 1940 in the current Chinese Xinjiang, formerly an oasis of Khotan, along the silk road. Si Giulia, Parecchi commentatori fanno risalire la stilizzazione di questo medaglione al motivo del melograno. Nei secoli i motivi sono passati da figure animali e vegetali a figure geometriche e viceversa. Le posso solo rispondere che è plausibile ma non certo. Invidio chi ha certezze assolute.

Meraviglioso, anche se il dott. Morandi correttamente lo dichiara leggermente basso in vello, esprime il fascino strepitoso dei Manichei. Mi permetto di chiedere se il motivo nel rosone centrale è riconoscibile come del Melograno oppure se lo interpreta in altro modo. Certamente un pezzo stupendo, se fosse grande la metà potrei inserirlo nella lista dei miei desideri... verrò comunque a vederlo...leggi tutto, complimenti.
