I write Goom as it was used in the 1960s when this very fine Persian carpet was knotted. Today in Qum, the holy city seat of the Ayatollahs, carpets are still knotted but I can guarantee you that the manufacture is no longer what it once was. The very fine knotting of this piece manages to make the Zil-Il-Sultan motif design clear and poerfect.

Knotted after the Islamic revolution of 1978 and circulated in the West since 1982, these artifacts retain traditional designs and knotting manual; I propose only a rigorous selection.
