Virtually old, with almost all vegetable dyes and wool bright, this old carpet in Khorasan, north-eastern Iran, was knotted around 1920, if it were a pinkish Saruk the same era, I would have placed among the ancient as in the case of Saruk it has gone to the chemical colors with a few years of delay compared to other manufactures.
