Prepedil a masterpiece carpet from the Kuba area, to be precise north of the city, in southern Dagestan, eastern Caucasus. Knotted at the end of the 19th century with the traditional Ghiordes knot, very fine, it has a state of conservation that leaves you astonished. I checked and rechecked several times looking for some small defect or a restoration not done perfectly, nothing! The ca...leggi tuttorpet is missing in all 2 strands of fringe, (two strands two!) And three knots (three knots three) incredible. Iconographically very pure, traditional ram horn motif (Wurma) in the field, and main pseudocufic border. Dark blue background, flawless charm and decorative strength.
