Karagashli carpet, late 19th century. Extraordinarily fine knotting, low-cut and perfectly preserved luminous fleece, very pure iconography! The eight-petalled rosette in the center of the characteristic karagashli leaves (rhomboid in shape) is connected by a thin diagonal branching line. Four forked Sadjajad branches and typical Karagashli flowers decorate the field of the carpet which at the bas...leggi tuttoe has a double row of opposing "hooks". The main antique gold border is covered with oak leaves alternating with chalice motifs.
