Old figured Qashqai, a rarity! Among other features this rug, obviously woven in wool, has depressed warps, this rare peculiarity guarantees great resistance to trampling. I realize that a figured or liked or disliked carpet at all, but the depiction of the human figure so well inserted in the design context has a particular charm.

We define old knotted carpets interwar or in the next two decades. They still hand spun wool and some vegetable colors. In this group, the earliest manufacturers of the city of Kum (Goom) and Isfahan, characterized by the extreme refinement of the node and the use of silk in both the structure (warp and weft) is in the fleece.

Effettivamente il tappeto figurale ha un mercato tutto suo e di difficile gusto. Anticamente si annodavano migliaia di questi manufatti destinati a personaggi illustri ma mai raffiguranti il loro Profeta. Bellissima patina.
