The very fine knotting and the perfect execution of the design contrast with the nomadic origin of this manufacture. The colors, the softness, the fine...leggi tutto wools, the vegetable colors and other small details lead with certainty to a period that goes from 1895 to 1915. Undoubted also the manufacturing area. I have documented and it seems that in some very rare cases silk was also used by these Caucasian populations. Sotheby sold two Marasals with silk inserts at dizzying numbers.
