The best known of the antique Persian carpets unfortunately remains the least explored in depth. When you say Saruk, common meaning is identified that old pink carpet that comes from the USA and is called American Saruk. I shudder every time I hear generalizing in this way. The Saruk Sarouk or as I prefer to call them, are woven in a wide area on the plateau Ferahan and picked Sarouk First are not...leggi tutto only trivially pink but we also find them in all shades from red to burgundy to orange hues such as this beautiful specimen and, in depending on the year in which they were knotted they have different designs, knotting more or less tightened, different color shades. The variation of these features combined with the conservation status determines different prices.

We define the ancient carpets before the war of 1915/18. They have hand-spun wool dyed with vegetable colors, animals or minerals. In some rare cases have been used, limited to certain colors, the first aniline dyes. Saruk rugs, knotted with vegetable colors until 1930, are included in this group
